WHAT IS RESPECT IN SPORT? Respect in Sport is an on-line training course for team officials. It is designed as a tool to assist coaches in identifying and dealing with abuse, neglect, harassment, and bullying in sport. Respect in Sport believes that the sport community should be proactive in making all sport safe and welcoming for all participants. The program helps us promote these values through this simple and convenient on-line tool. Respect in Sport is being implemented to provide an enhanced sport environment for our children and youth.

WHO IS THIS PROGRAM FOR? All Hockey PEI team officials are required to obtain certification in Speak Out or Respect in Sport. Both courses offer similar content and messages. Members may complete either of the courses.

FEE: The Fee for Respect in Sport is $40 per user. This fee will be charged to the participants’ applicable association or team. Once registered, membership is for 5 years. Upon completion of certification, you’ll be able to access the program as an on-line resource for up to 5 years.

For questions or assistance, please feel free to contact the Hockey PEI office at 902-368-4334.
