Hockey PEI Regulation 11 - Coaching Certification 11.01 All minor hockey coaches involved in instructing children between the ages of five and eight years, inclusive, must be certified as instructors at the Intro Coach Program level by December 31st of the current season. 11.02 In Minor hockey, all coaches at "AAA" (Atom, Pee Wee, Bantam, Midget, Major Midget) and above levels, with teams participating in Provincial Playoffs must hold a minimum of Development 1 Certification in the National Coaching Certification Program by December 31st, of the current season. 11.03 In Minor hockey, all coaches at "AA", with teams participating in Provincial Playoffs must hold a minimum of Coach 1 Certification in the National Coaching Certification Program by December 31st of the current season. 11.04 In Minor hockey, all coaches at "A", level, with teams participating in Provincial Playoffs must hold a minimum of Coach 1 Certification in the National Coaching Certification Program by December 31st, of the current season. 11.05 Minor Hockey Associations and League Coordinators are to verify that Regulations are adhered to in their entirety with no exceptions. 11.06 Failure to comply will result in removal of coach/ coaches from the Team list after December 31st of the applicable season. |
