DALLAS STARS COACHING STAFF TO PARTICIPATE IN COACHING CLINIC

Charlottetown - The City of Charlottetown recently announced that the NHL Dallas Stars will visit the Capital city again this year to conduct their 2011 NHL Training Camp. The dates of the camp are September 15th to 20th.
"The Dallas Stars are excited to be coming back to Charlottetown for our training camp. In fact, we enjoyed our time here last year so much that we decided to extend our stay for this year," said Frank Provenzano, Assistant General Manager of the Dallas Stars. "This year’s training camp will be similar to last year’s format with our practices being open to the public and our intra-squad game featuring all of the Dallas Stars players."
The team will conduct the camp at both the CARI facility on the UPEI campus and the Charlottetown Civic Centre.
The team will skate will be on ice from the 16th through to the 20th. They will also hold an intersquad game on Sunday, September 18, at the Charlottetown Civic Centre (6:00 pm). All practice sessions will be open to the public.
"We value our relationship with the Dallas Stars organization and look forward to hosting their training camp in a few months," said Mayor Clifford Lee. "Charlottetown has a unique opportunity to see some of the best hockey players in the NHL practice and play in our community, an opportunity and experience that residents and fans alike won’t soon forget. I would encourage everyone to get their tickets to the intra-squad game, where the talents of the Stars’ players will be showcased at their best."
Dallas Stars Staff to Participate in Hockey PEI Coach Clinic
Hockey PEI is pleased to announce that once again this year in conjunction with the Dallas Stars training camp, they will be hosting a Development 1 coaching clinic September 17 and 18th. The clinic will be held at the Charlottetown Civic Center. As part of this clinic, newly appointed Stars head coach Glen Gulutzan and his staff will be offering presentations to the coaching delegates as part of the clinic.
“We are extremely pleased about this opportunity to have the Dallas Stars coaching staff back again to be part of our coaching clinic and provide some of their experience and insight to some of our coaches“, stated Hockey PEI President Eugene Power. “Their contribution last year was exceptional and well received by the coaching delegates. We sincerely appreciate the contribution and cooperation of the Dallas Stars organization and the organizing committee from the City of Charlottetown“.
All delegates that attend the clinic will also receive a ticket to the intersquad game on September 18th.
