HELP SAVE THE HOCKEY CANADA LOGO

Many have likely heard by know that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recently decided that Hockey Canada would not be allowed to use its well known logo on its hockey jerseys for the 2010 Olympics that are being held in Vancouver.
The Executive of the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) have made a decision not to support Hockey Canada to wear the logo on the jersey during the 2010 Olympics. This regulation has been in place at the IOC for many years and in the past the COC have supported Hockey Canada in pursuing the use of the Hockey Canada logo on the jersey. For the 2010 Olympics they have refused to sign off on this document for the use of the logo. This is very disappointing and a concern to Hockey Canada. Hockey Canada will be looking at many different ways to position themselves going into 2010 to prepare the Men’s, Women’s and Sledge hockey teams to go after their ultimate goal in the 2010 Olympics.
Needless to say that Hockey Canada does not agree with this decision and at the recommendation of their President, an online petition has been started which will be used to hopefully help overturn this decision.
