Kensington Granites Set to Face Rustico Mustangs in Playoff Showdown Prince County Senior Hockey League Playoffs Heat Up


Prince County, PE – The stage is set for an exciting playoff battle as the Kensington Granites and Rustico Mustangs go head-to-head in a best-of-three series in the Prince County Senior Hockey League playoffs.


Game 1 kicks off Friday, March 14th, at 7:45 p.m. in Kensington, with Game 2 set for Saturday, March 15th, at 8:00 p.m. in Rustico. If necessary, Game 3 will take place Monday, March 17th, at 8:00 p.m. in Kensington.


This matchup promises high-intensity action, as the last time these two teams met, Kensington edged out a thrilling 4-3 victory on March 1st in a tightly contested game. Rustico will look to former PEI Rocket and 2008 New York Rangers draft pick Chris Doyle, who has been an offensive powerhouse with 16 points in just 8 games. Meanwhile, Kensington counters with their own offensive leaders, Kyle Doucette and Thomas Waugh, both tallying 15 points each this season.

The winner of this series will advance to the finals, where the Tignish Aces await. Fans can expect fast-paced, hard-hitting hockey as these teams battle for a shot at the championship.
