by Hockey PEI Communications // @HockeyPEI // Monday, February 26th, 2024

CHARLOTTETOWN, PE - The Hockey PEI High Performance Program announced today that registration has opened for its Under-16 Male Spring Development Camp which will take place from May 10th to 12th, 2024 in Rustico, PEI.

The camp is open to all 2009 Birth year players who have taken part in the HPP Program previously. All camp activities will take place inside the Eliyahu Wellness Centre Canada Games Place. As part of the camp, players will experience on-ice skill sessions, practices, fitness testing, classroom sessions featuring HPP alumni and will ultimately finish off with game action on Sunday.

This camp is the first step of the Under-16 Male HPP process for players looking to crack the roster for Team PEI that will compete in the regional Under-16 event in Dieppe, New Brunswick this October. The regional event is also the first leg in the road to the QMJHL Cup, a highly scouted event that takes place in Blainville-Boisbriand annually in May (2025). Hockey PEI players will get the chance to make one of two Team Atlantic Rosters selected to attend out of the regional tournament.
