NOW HIRING: OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

CHARLOTTETOWN, PE - Hockey PEI is the governing body for amateur hockey in Prince Edward Island. Working with its member associations, clubs and leagues, the organization oversees the administration and delivery of hockey programming from entry level to the national competition.


The Office Administrator is responsible for providing a wide range of day-to-day administrative functions and operational support to the Executive Director and HPEI staff. This position is located in Charlottetown office and requires a minimum of 30 hours per week to a maximum of 37.5 hours per week, to be negotiated. There is the possibility for flexibility in some hours being worked remotely.


Hockey PEI is inviting applications for this permanent position. Salary range is $50,000 - $52,500 (based on the 37.5 hr work week) commensurate based on combined education and work experience. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Assist visitors to the Hockey PEI office and answer telephone/ email inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Prepare correspondence, some of a confidential nature.

  • Assist staff and board with administrative tasks and special projects as assigned.

  • Coordinate conference calls, meetings, travel, and other arrangements as required.

  • Organize and maintain up to date files of the Association according to established procedures.

  • Maintain the PEI/Hockey Canada Registry (HCR) membership database.

  • Receive and track program payments and expense reports. Bookkeeping support.

  • Prepare Bank Deposits

  • Other general office duties as assigned.


The Successful Candidate shall possess the following:

  • Education from a recognized institute or equivalent work experience; Computer/data entry skills; Oral and written communication skills, Ability to work independently and in a team environment; Detail Oriented; Great organizational skills.
