FIRST WHISTLE PROGRAM ANNOUNCED

Hockey Canada and FORCE are pleased to open applications for the First Whistle Program for the 2026-27 season.

This program is designed to drive increased registration of new officials by providing jerseys to approved MHAs that can be loaned to new officials, limiting cost barriers. At the conclusion of the season, the MHAs retain the jerseys and can utilize them for a new class of officials in the following season. Additionally, FORCE will replace the jerseys that are damaged or no longer usable due to wear-and-tear.

Minor Hockey Associations are eligible to apply to Hockey Canada directly via the following link: Link to Application. We ask that you please pass this information on to MHAs who may be interested in applying for support.

Applications are open until March 31, 2026. At that time, Hockey Canada will verify the MHAs application with the Members, prior to final selection. If you have any questions, please contact Hockey PEI info@hockeypei.com
