CHARLOTTETOWN, PE - Are you passionate about women’s sports and want to make a meaningful impact? We are excited to announce the creation of a Junior Female League for the 2025-2026 season, and we’re seeking enthusiastic volunteers to join our committee to help bring this vision to life!
Why Join the Committee? This is your chance to be a part of something new and exciting that aims to elevate the opportunities for young female athletes. As a committee member, you’ll play a key role in:
Shaping the structure and rules of the league to ensure fairness and competitive balance. Including but not limited to player requirements, coaching requirements, officiating requirements, etc.
Stakeholder engagement with Member Hockey Associations (MHAs): Building strong relationships with local MHAs to support league development, recruitment, and player progression.
Supporting recruitment and outreach efforts, ensuring the league attracts both players and fans.
Coordinating logistics for the season, including scheduling, venue management, and communication.
Ensuring inclusivity and accessibility: Helping make the league a welcoming space for all participants, regardless of background or experience.
Who Should Apply? We’re looking for passionate individuals who are:
Committed to supporting young female athletes
Interested in league management, event planning, and community outreach
Skilled at building relationships with various stakeholders, including associations, coaches, and officials
Open to creative ideas and collaborative problem-solving
Willing to contribute time and energy to ensure the success of this league
